JUST PLAY
SOCCER.
Players develop by playing. Just Play Soccer brings U11–U16 players, families and adult players together throughout Northeast Houston to create more opportunities to get on the pitch. More game time means more touches, more decisions, more confidence and more opportunities to learn the game through experience.
Experienced adult players are encouraged to join too. Selected pickup events may include appropriate coed youth-and-adult play, allowing developing players to learn alongside experienced players in real game situations. Communication, positioning, decision-making and positive feedback can happen while the game is actually being played — where many of the best lessons are learned.
Just Play Soccer helps local soccer families find each other and create more opportunities for players to get on the field. No complicated program. No new team to join. Just a community making it easier to play more soccer.
Connect Locally
Meet soccer parents and players from Kingwood, Porter, New Caney, Atascocita, Huffman and surrounding Northeast Houston communities.
Find More Soccer
Organize pickup games, find players looking to get extra touches and share local opportunities to simply get kids out on the field.
Help Each Other
Ask questions, share experiences and connect with other soccer families, coaches and referees who understand the youth soccer environment.
Just Play Soccer is open to players from all clubs, leagues, schools and skill levels. We're not building another club or asking anyone to leave their team. We're simply creating more opportunities for kids in our soccer community to play.
Youth soccer can be confusing. Rules, development, leagues, clubs, tryouts, refereeing and everything in between can leave parents with plenty of questions. Just Play Soccer brings families together with people who have experience throughout the game.
U.S. Soccer Licensed Coaches
Members of the community include licensed coaches who can offer perspective on player development, training and the youth soccer environment.
U.S. Soccer Referee Mentors
Referee mentors within the community can help families better understand the Laws of the Game, officiating and referee development.
Just Play Soccer is a community, not a formal coaching or referee instruction program. Members share knowledge and experience to help families better understand the game and create a positive soccer environment for our players.
Just Play Soccer exists to create more opportunities for young players to enjoy soccer and for local families to connect. Everyone who participates is expected to help maintain a positive, respectful and safe community.
Respect Everyone
Treat players, parents, coaches, referees and other community members with respect. Harassment, bullying, threats, discriminatory behavior or personal attacks are not acceptable.
Keep It Positive
This community should encourage kids to play and enjoy the game. Competitive soccer can be intense; the pickup environment doesn't need to be.
Parents Remain Responsible
Parents and guardians remain responsible for determining whether an activity is appropriate for their child and for providing appropriate supervision during participation.
Put Player Safety First
Use appropriate fields, equipment and game conditions. Players should participate within reasonable age and ability groupings, and unsafe play should be stopped.
No Club Recruiting
Just Play Soccer is not a recruiting channel. Don't use pickup games or community conversations to pressure players or families to join or leave a club, team, league or training organization.
No Spam or Solicitation
Don't use the community for unrelated advertising, repeated promotions, mass messaging or solicitation. Relevant soccer opportunities may be shared when they genuinely benefit local players and families.
Respect Player Privacy
Don't publicly share a minor's private information. Obtain appropriate parent or guardian permission before intentionally posting identifiable photos or videos of another person's child.
Use Good Judgment
Pickup opportunities may be organized by individual community members. Families should evaluate the location, organizer, conditions and activity before deciding whether to participate.
Just Play Soccer is a community networking initiative. It is not a soccer league, childcare service or supervised youth program. Pickup games and other activities may be organized by individual community members. Participation is voluntary, and parents or guardians are responsible for evaluating activities and supervising their children appropriately.
